As Christmastime approached, various communities and places held parties. Among them was the Goblin Cave at Caledon Downs, hosted by Cynthia Farshore, which held it's event at Tuesday December 21st from 6 to 8 PM.
Come join us at the Goblin Cave Tuesday the 21st at 6 PM as DJ Cynthia presents Abby Normal's Christmas Dance, a selection selected twisted tunes, funny or odd. Parodies, offbeat, just generally funny like Bob Rivers. Join us at the Goblin Cave in Cynthia's Winter wonderland region. Feel free to explore. She has decorated the whole region with Christmas.
Cynthia was on the dance floor with everyone as the music played.
There was a mix of tunes from traditional Christmas fare, and the not so traditional such as "Santa Clause Is Watchin'" You by Ray Stevens, "I Came Upon a Roadkill Deer" "It's the Most Fattening Time of the Year" and "Didn't I Get This Last Year" by Bob Rivers, "A Pirate Christmas" and "We Need A Little Krampus" by Tom Smith, "Rusty Chevrolet" by Da Yoopers, and others.
There were avatars of all kinds from the festive,
To the small.
At the end of the party, "Caledonia," the unofficial anthem of the Caledon community, was played.
On Wednesday December 22, the Happy Vixen would hold it's Christmas party, Nydia Tungsten's "Twisted Christmas" event.
Today is the day, the day we throw up our arms and scream to the heavens NO MORE! We have been Christmas'd to death starting November 1st So if you are as fed up as I am come to my "Twisted Christmas" event, (make sure the kiddies are out of the room) as we poke fun and holes into the "Christmas spirit" of course I mean the shopping spirit, it all starts at 7pm SLT TONIGHT at THV.
The event was a poke at the over-comercialization of Christmas, shopping malls hyping holiday sales as early as October, as well as the constant Christmas jingles that made the normally cheerful songs seem rather sachrine. And "DJ Naughty Nydia" played a Christmas set as only she could, with various parodies from mild to wild to "What the f***?!" They ranged from Mike Rowe's "Santa's Gotta Dirty Job." to "Al Bundy's Christmas Poem," to "Flu Ride" by Bob Rivers, "It's the Most God-Awful Time of the Year" by John Lovitz, "Grandpa Got Run Over By a Beer" by Weird Al Yankovic, "Grandma Got Knocked Up By A Reindeer" by Shockwave, and some we can't even list the song titles here.
As always, Nydia was the DJ for the event. She joined her partner Brandi in wearing a mousegirl avie.
And a couple others joined them at the front of the dance floor in anthro mice looks.
"Not a creature was stirring not even a mouse..." she would say in group chat, "MAY *SS! We got FOUR of them shaking their BUTTS!"
There were plenty of people in Christmasy outfits, some cheeky, and some more traditional.
Not everyone had a Christmasy look, but it was all in the name of fun.
Nydia would put up some naughty and cheeky cartoons, many of which we can't show unless they came out blurry. She also put up some drunken reindeer and "Frisky the Snowman" made an appearance, making cheesy pick-up lines at the girls, "You must be from Tennessee! Because you are the only TEN I see!" "Did you get those pants on sale? Cause if they were at my house they would be 100 percent off." "Oh no not the naughty snowman!" the girls facepalmed.
A few of Nydia's tunes were so off the wall, they left some people "floored."
Someone tried flying like one of Santa's reindeer.
It didn't quite work.
After the two hours were up, Nydia changed back to vixen, and there was some funning around, such as with this old "Carmeldansen" cube.
Nydia being angelic.
And a look Nydia doesn't show often, the character she named herself after from her "Switched Destinies" novel, "One of my (close friends), Jian, made an avi of her. I am SO proud of it. I only wear it for special occasions, so I don't soil her image (laughter)."
There would be other Christmas parties, such as the one at Club Cutlass on Friday night. But there's not enough room to describe those in detail as well.
Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year
